It’s the Product Marketing Manager’s responsibility to accelerate and refine our go-to-market strategy for today and tomorrow’s Appcues products.
You will report to the Director of Marketing and be challenged to improve our product positioning and utility by working with customers and understanding the emerging market that we’ve found ourselves in. We look to you to lead communications around our products and their use cases, benefits, and results to educate our customers, audience at large, and your teammates.
Evangelize product use cases via blog posts/emails/webinars/demo app/etc with help from content marketing
Source customer stories from customer success and sales and tell via case studies/quotes/emails/videos/etc
Drive revenue through product-specific programs (e.g. in-app messaging) work with paid to obtain appropriate traffic
Serve as a liaison to product team to streamline usage and improve activation and retention metrics
Develop our product communication process to drive adoption and improve retention. Work with product team to establish messaging then teach the team
Communicate somewhat significant releases (~5/week) to customers effectively via Appcues/email roundup
Communicate massively significant releases (~1/quarter) to prospective customers effectively via Product Hunt/email/PR
Future products may include mobile support, a new product line (beyond our current adoption product), or new/adjusted pricing/packaging like freemium
Become the expert on how we compare to competition
Educate our team on your findings and help us position ourselves effectively
Own and manage customer review sites like Capterra and G2Crowd
Drive revenue through competitor-specific programs
The ideal candidate will have:
3+ years of digital marketing experience for a technology company
The ability to meet or exceed monthly and yearly marketing goals
Solid technical understanding of software
Strong people skills
High standards for customer experience and design
A problem solver with a passion for learning
Experience using Appcues (optional)
